Schedule Airline
Air One received the Pan India NOC from Ministry of Civil Aviation to run a national Scheduled Airline and plans to start operations by Q4 2017/18. Company’s medium term business plan is to enter the low cost carrier segment and to operate majority of flights to airports within 4 hours of flying time from Company hub in New Delhi.
Salient Features of Business Plan
- Low cost single cabin airline business model with key focus on cost, asset utilization and ancillary revenue
- Plans to induct 60 aircraft over 5 year period
- Fleet composition would mostly consist of single aisle and turbo prop
- Concentration on key airports across India and aim to gain maximum share within the region
- The five-year network plan focuses on reaching a total of 47 airports (39 Domestic and 8 International).
Operational Preparedness
Current Progress on Operational front
- Aviation experience - Operational in the charter airline space for past 5 years catering to both domestic and international passengers
- NOC from Government - The group has acquired NOC certificate from Ministry of Civil Aviation and plans to foray into the scheduled airline space on the basis of past experience
- Aircraft Selection – Met various major manufacturers and in discussion with various Lessors.
- Manuals & Regulatory Compliances - Work started on the preparation of various manuals, procedures & systems including operations, engineering, training and flight safety.
- Manpower - In talks with sourcing & training company to supply 50 trained commandeers for the first 10 aircraft
